Verdit: wow I struggled with the transition and position more than I anticipated
This is really just an excuse to finally take a breather and see how else I can break the web with nonsense.
I've been around the web long enough to see geocities sites built with table as layout (tho I din't know that was a thing because I was just absolutely positioning everything to make layouts, which was ... something) so to see HTML to continually evolve has been both pretty neat, even when it did go through its awkward stage when it introduced a bunch of semantic tags thanks to Wordpress blogs (oh god remember that era? it still haunts me).
I'm somewhat glad we're past the point where "I want a website can you make me one" was just people wanted a PHP fourm (barf), but the monkey paw in return gave us instagram. React was a blessing that became grestly cursed, and I weep when baby's first webpage involved making a React app.
